System requirements

If you are using Windows, any of the following versions are compatible with the database: Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista.

Older versions of Windows do not support the Unicode encoding used in DSBC. Before viewing Romanized versions of the Sanskrit text, please install the following font into the Fonts folder (under the Control Panel):

URW Palladio ITU (Transliteration - 288 KB)

The texts are also readable on Macs using OS X, and on Unicode-compatible
versions of UNIX or Linux.
